Feeding Justice Challenges

The Feeding Justice team has created a slate of Feeding Justice Audience Challenges for social media!  Broaden awareness of food justice issues by sharing your favorite movie moment or take action by talking to your favorite retailer!

Online Challenges

Movie Moment Challenge

Watch the movie with three or more of your friends and share your thoughts on what you saw. Try to think of how you can stay informed and help inform other people. Spread the word!

Fruitful Grapevines Challenge

Visit your local farmer’s market. While you’re there, connect with your local farmers and talk to them about their products and the FJC label. Go for extra points and buy a few tasty goods while you’re there!

Supermarket Superproduct Challenge 

Go to five of your favorite local supermarkets (Publix, Winn-Dixie, Fresh Market) and ask for specific FJC products (see list- hyperlink). Find out if they know about the label and share what you know with them! Consumers drive change.

TIP! Beat the challenge while you run errands! You can spread out the challenge and go to a different store every week for the next five weeks. Not only will you complete the challenge, you also get the opportunity to pay attention to the differences in products and prices for goods in your community, you can compare them to what you can get from your local farmers.

Social Seeds Challenge 

Share one or two of your own personal thoughts or experiences every week for the next six weeks using our hashtags on your favorite social media!

TIP! Knock out multiple challenges at once! If you try our other challenges out they’ll help you complete this one.

Examples:

  • “After speaking to one of my local farmer(specify by farm or individuals name) and learning about the difficult but necessary work that running a farm requires, along with the hazardous working conditions that farmers and farmworkers face, I gained a new appreciation for the individuals that bring the food to our tables daily.”

FJC Pantry Challenge

Change the products that you use most often to ones that are Food Justice Certified. Tell us about the products you changed and what you enjoy most about it.

Righteous Recipe Challenge

TIP! Knock out multiple challenges at once! It’ll help contribute to your progress in our Social Seeds Challenge when you share your experience with us online, using our hashtags. Share at least two of your favorite meals, drinks or recipes made with FJC products using our hashtags. You can snap a pic of something you’ve prepared or share a recipe of something someone else can prepare.
