Several staff from Florida Organic Growers (FOG) and its certification program, Quality Certification Services (QCS), will present and booth at the Aug. 1-2 Florida Small Farms and Alternative Enterprise Conference.
FOG Executive Director Marty Mesh is presenting at two conference sessions, "The New Farm Bill - What's In It For You?" and "Local Food Systems Concepts and Projects", and will participate in a panel discussion of local food system development. FOG Project Coordinator Juan Carlos Rodriguez is presenting at a session titled "Selecting, Sourcing and Applying Organic Inputs" and is moderating the Farm Bill session.
FOG Project Coordinator Matt Vargas will be available at the FOG booth to answer questions and provide information about FOG programs. QCS Certification Coordinator and Inspector Carrie Stilwell will be at the QCS booth answering certification questions.
Rodriguez will also travel to Plant City Aug. 18-19 for Agritech, hosted by the Florida Strawberry
Growers Association.
